How to speed up your CLO workflow - Creating Tricky Detail Libraries
Hey hey, I wanted to share a little tip on how you can speed up your workflow!
It might be obvious to some, but it wasn't for me at first so I figured I should share it anyway
You can save already simulated garment elements, like tricky knots and ties, and create your own little "Detail libraries". How amazing is that?!
I just started building mine so there isn't much in it yet, but it definitely makes things easier already :)
To save your garment pieces you just need to have them simulated nicely, then stop the simulation (so nothing falls to the floor!) and delete all the other pattern pieces you don't need. Then you go File>Save As>Garment
Once saved you can bring it into any project by right clicking on it in the library and selecting Add to Workspace and use the Gizmo to adjust the placement
Don't forget to sew it on before you simulate!

Until then it became obvious to you that you worked and did not save your work?
What you are offering has long been implemented in the program at a higher level.
On the left sidebar, select the modular configurator tab, and select the layout modular. Read the help about the modular.

Thanks @vadsura, I'm aware of the Modular Mode and I think it's a great tool, but I don't think it needs to be used in every scenario.
In my case as I work with various silhouettes and styles which change quite often I find it more efficient to save out the tricky components separately and bring them in as needed instead of recreating them every single time I want to use them.
cheers!

@vadsura,
Hi! Firstly, thank you for your active engagement in our Community! However, we would like to kindly request more respect toward other users :)
In CLO, there is no single answer to solve problems and creating garments. The solution or CLO workflow can vary by users!
Thank you for your understanding and participation :)
Best,
Erica from CLO
