export the avatar
How can I export the avatar's movement in a format compatible with 3Ds Max?

Hi chiara3,
Do you mean exporting the Avatar's animation or the garment's animation? You cannot animate an Avatar in CLO, so the best workflow is to build and animate your Avatar in 3Ds Max, bring it into CLO to drape the garment and record the garment's animation. Then export the entire sequence as an FBX file to bring back into 3Ds Max for further manipulation, clean up, etc. (3Ds Max >> CLO >> 3Ds Max)
If you want to export one of CLO's default Avatars to bring into 3Ds Max, you can also File > Export it as an FBX. If your Avatar was rigged in 3Ds Max and saved as an FBX, you can definitely pose it in CLO, but the Animation Editor doesn't allow you to create, for example, a running motion.
Hope that helps!
