Prevent avatar skin from poking through clothing
I'm aware that increasing particle distance on fabric can affect collision but I need a large particle distance to reduce polygon count. I'm wondering if there are any other ways I can completely prevent skin from poking through the clothing. I don't mind if it takes a lot longer to run the simulation. I'm more concerned about the final result.

Dear mmilne, you can increase the Avatar Offset value to prevent skin from pocking through the clothing. However, this won't be the best answer.. Adjusting the particle distance would be better.
Would you explain why you would like to reduce the polygon count? As you have mentioned that the simulation speed can be slower, I assume that you have other reasons to have less polygons.

I'm using the fabric animation in realtime and less polygons produces a higher frame-rate. Here's an example of how I've been using CLO fabric animation for realtime web https://punkoffice.com/tracksuit

@mmline, Thanks for sharing the example! Very cool!
For now, please try by increasing the Avatar Offset. Meanwhile, let me see if there are other ways.
