How can I force that patter names while be printed land on the actual pattern piece and not somewhere on the paper?
Can you please look into that.

Not enough information provided
-What are your export settings?
-Where are you printing too?
Or what program is being used to open for printing?
Or if the names are present and you simply do not like the current layout you get from CLO it is instead recommended to use another program like Ai to add pattern names and annotations

Okay. I try to find that information.
I print as PLO/ PLT via a professional GERBER pattern plotter in 1:1
The print is never opened as it is a PLT/ PLO which are not possible to open

Then we recommend adding names in Gerber likely

Thing is, the DXF pattern I create in CLO3d can not pass the Gerber system without bigger effort. There is no additional time and workforce for that - and actually no need. The plotter we own can print any DXF. And it prints the CLO3d DXF just fine.
There is also no time to rush the whole pattern to photoshop or else, because in a professional environment that is no workflow that would work. Especially when pattern names are possible to select in Clo3d already.
But anyhow it should be possible for Clo3d to get the pattern names somewhat attached to the pattern pieces especially if they are very small.
The thing with the pattern name besides other production pattern issues is inconvinient. Maybe you can look into it to make a pattern makers life easier.

I recommend the GRAFIS system, where you can attach pattern names to a line of the pattern piece and grade it in size. Maybe you sneak there for a solution.

Would it not be possible for you (CLO3D) to link the pattern names to the already existing grainline function? your grainlines are properly linked to the pattern and it is standard to have names on this part of the pattern.

Hi Will,
Is this tip for me or for CLO3D?
Yes, the names seam already to be attached to the grain line. But for example smaller pieces I tracked from pattern pieces, sill have the grain line and name placed where the former pattern piece got it. And is for that reason somewhere floating on the paper. And it is not possible to adapt this. As far as I know.

On smaller pieces my grainlines do scale properly when printing DXF through the Gerber plotter. I don't know why they could not use this same function to attach the pattern info to that grainline instead of it just being sprayed across the page randomly.
