Notches attached to segment points not grading properly on armhole
Hi,
I have a couple of notch/segment point grading issues:
1. I've graded a bodice block and added two segment points with notches, the first point is 2" away from side seam, the other is 1" away from that point. These measurements are inconsistent throughout the graded sizes, how can I quickly ensure all segment points are the same measurements away from the side seam?
2. I notice that when I add segment points onto the graded armhole, the curves becomes warped (see the before and after pics). How can I keep the graded curves consistent?
Thank you.

firststop and ashleykirk Thank you so much for clarifying :)
1) When you grade out Segments grade from one point to the next. So you cannot "lock" a Segment point a certain amount/distance when grading. (You can technically choose to grade a Segment Line instead of a Point, but we do NOT recommend this). Instead it would be better to convert the Segment points to Curve Points and then use the Notch Tool on the 2D Tool Bar. Once you apply the notch you can select it with the Notch Tool and go to the Property Editor > You will see an option to Lock. Check this on and then choose from Start or End Point.
2) It is best to not add additional Segment Points once you have added grading. You want to make sure that the pattern is complete and then Move to grading
