OBJ missing parts when imported
Can you expert Clo users help? I have made a complex object and exported it as an OBJ which looks okay in the file preview (all parts visible). When I import it into another file however, it is missing many parts. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong here. The attached files show the object before and after importing - a total random mess. I am exporting as OBJ and selecting Import/add to import. I've tried altering the fabric to basic default before exporting but it makes no difference. I can't see any difference in the parts that show and the missing parts - it is all constructed the same way from the same material... Can anyone help ASAP?
Many thanks.

Dear noo_holder,
It looks as if the object is intact, but the UV maps are wrong and displaying transparency. Did you import to Blender?
Can you try separating the pieces in the edit mode, using separate by Losse Parts, move to the Shading tab and add the textures that are missing?

Hi, No I didn't use Blender at all - it is all created in Clo and there isn't any transparency - all the pieces that make up the object have the same values. I will try what you suggest and come back to to you - thanks for your help.

Something I really don't understand is the wings - they are just one piece each so the way they are missing parts seems odd - like a bug (pun - sorry).

Hi noo_holder, there is a misunderstanding. I asked if you imported into Blender, not whether it was built there. What is the software you imported into or is this still all inside CLO?
I've seen a similar issue where the shapes were in fact intact upon closer inspection, but the UV map was causing transparency due to being wrongly placed on the object. Based on the placement in the window, it appears this is the same case here and there aren't actually shapes missing. Can you see if there is selectable mesh and what type of maps are lying on top?

Hi, apologies for the delay. No blender has not been used at all for any of this. I think you might be right - see when I select the imported OBJ the rest is there but not showing up properly. How do I fix this with texture maps? I have attached a screenshot of the selected OBJ and another of the original file showing the mesh. The OBJ doesn't show mesh as you can see - the OBJ is above the original structure. It is all made form the same material - see shot of properties. Many thanks,
Noo.

Hi noo_holder,
Please contact us here and attach the OBJ and at best the original project file as well, so we can have a look: https://clo3d.com/en/support/contactus
