Graphic Transformation over seams - Yellow Bounding Boxes, can I isolate and move a single errant box?
Graphic Transformation over seams- Yellow Bounding Boxes, can I isolate and move a single errant box?
Can they be individually customised, tweaked or moved. I have a random yellow bounding box that is not fitting the symmetrical arrangement of others, effecting the symmetrical spread of the graphic across the pattern pieces. I have been unable to find any help on this problem online or in your guides. I am still learning the system and am a Uni student. This garment design is for one of my Assignments, any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello lizzy529
Thanks for reaching out! When a graphic is allowed to overlap seamlines, whatever you do to it will affect each part on each piece. If you want to have your graphic on the symmetrical pattern, copy and mirror-paste to that pattern. If you want to move/scale/edit the graphics individually you need to either make copies of the graphic in the Object Browser or add the graphic again and place them individually.
I hope this helps... if you still have questions, please provide screenshots of your CLO workspace.

Dear lizzy529,
The bounding box cannot be edited. It will encompass the size of the image, even if only a small portion is visible on the pattern piece.
If the pattern pieces are spread further apart in the 2D window, it will be easier to select the wanted graphics.
The dotted line of the box in question shows it is a graphic that is placed there as continuing over a seamline. So if the placement is wrong, it should disappear when ticking off graphic over seamline of the parent graphic. Can you find which one it is?

Hi, Yes I can turn the "over seam lines" off as its linked to the central Centre Front pattern piece. But my problem is that I want all pieces to have the design spread over them evenly (right and left sides matching if the pattern pieces have sequential editing turned on). My graphic is wide enough to flow over all horizontal pieces without "edge of graphic" gaps, so this problem is unexpected.
I just don't understand why almost all yellow boxes are distributed evenly (mathematically) by the system and why this one box is at a very different angle and moved off the side of the pattern piece. It would be great if we could in future select certain pattern pieces to receive the "spread over seams". I know it would certainly help me fix this problem. Giving me the flexibility to pick and choose the graphic spread without having to one by one add the graphic then manipulate the graphic orientation on every single piece (sequential editing would be a help here). It would also help if we could group a graphic and pattern piece together when we are happy with the placement and effectively freeze or lock all further graphic edits until unlocked, then move on to the next pattern piece.
I love the Graphic spread over seams, but I also would like a way of subtracting the seam allowances so that graphics line up on the sewing lines.
It looks like I will need to work the long repetitive way on each pattern piece to get the effect I want.

Hi lizzy529
Most ovre seamlines are designed to just go over 1 or 2 seams. So going over multiple can cause issues. But have you also checked your grain line? Is it possible this pattern piece is set to a different angle?

Newbie here. I had symmetrical editing turned on so grainlines should not be an issue, but I will check just in case, in my ignorance I've changed something. Unfortunately symmetrical editing does not seem to apply for graphics. Yes you are right, I've pushed the graphic over more seams than it was designed for. Wishful thinking: Now if I could just move those yellow boxes independently, group and ungroup the pattern pieces in regards to graphics.
