Why is there so much space between my binding and the garment?

When I first make a binding on the edge of a garment, the binding sticks very close to the garment like it's supposed to. After a while, though, the binding kind of separates so that there's space between the garment and the binding itself (as seen in the picture below). Why does this happen? 

 

 

I re-did the binding and the binding sticks close to the garment like it is supposed to (there's no separation). I don't want to have to redo the binding every single time - is there a reason why the binding separates over time?

  mishayu It appears you might still have your fabric on Textured Surface rather than Thick Textured Surface (in the 3D Vertical Toggle Menu). The back of your fabrics appear shaded; this is how the Textured Surface shows. See the attached image; the neck of this Tshirt has binding...
