Why my neckband goes puffy?

    It looks like you need to add an internal line where the "fold" is. The added internal line will change the shape of the mesh so it will be able to fold smoothly. Once you add an internal line you can assign it a fold angle so it will look like a nice crisp fold. These videos HERE and HERE you may find helpful

    If I am not wrong there already is an internal line? Photo included.

    You are correct. Thank you for the additional photo. What looks like what may be happening is that part of of the fold back has gone too far. In the 3D Toggle If you switch from Thick Textured Surface to Textured Surface you will probably see "grey back" areas poking out the front. 

    If you Reset 3D arrangement of the Sleeve and then refold the hem this should help. Just remember then When using the Fold arrangement tool in the 3D Tool bar you don't need to fold the hem all of the way, just most of the way. Then when you turn on Simulation the gravity/sewing will  will take it the rest of the way

    Hi there, it's so much better. It seems like I pushed the fold to far. 

    But still can there is a small puff, you can see it by the picture - is there a way to make it completely flat like it's pressed?

    I can see that you are using the GPU simulation. It behaves a bit weirdly with layers and creates that puffy effect.

    If you switch to "Normal (Default)" or "Fitting (Accurate Fabric)" it should flatten nicely.

    Check your pattern pieces fabric thickness for collision also. The default setting can make a folded (back to back) folded simulation quite thick if it is set to 2.5mm for each strip in the property editor. By checking the > additional collision offset for the pattern piece in the property editor and adjusting that factor (reduce) you will get the fabric to sit closer in a pressed seam. Sometimes for the visual (render) you might need to decide on treating 'knife' edge areas on the construction differently to 'production construction'. So this is maybe where your marketing image and forking your garment (eg: history save state) into a 'render beauty' 3D model might happen. For example in CLO3D you can use 'thick render and curvature' along with additional thickness render for any pattern piece to give the appearance of double folded pattern piece. And so for some seams you might even trim the sleeve construction in that zone and reduce it to a thin seam strip of single (unfolded) seam trim with additional render thickness applied to the total thickness you want in that local area for a crisp simulation. In other words > for the final marketing render image you might need to break with the Manufactured construction in order to get the VFX visual just how you want.

    another option I see often is: to make that foldback piece a separate pattern piece. sew it to the opening edge. ( and sew the other edge to an internal line that you add to the sleeve pattern) select that edge seam and "edit sewing " in property editor change it to the seam type to "turned" &  and it will look flat like its pressed. also be sure to place the foldback piece on in the 3d window by " superimpose under" for great placement.
