    Hi. When you are attempting to open the PDF are you going to File > Import > Adobe (PDF/Ai). 

    When the program crashes are you receiving any messages or alert pop ups? If you are could you share what it says or a screen shot for reference?

    Yes. There is no pop up. The system just shuts down.
