Render is not showing print correctly in render
Hello,
I have a problem with a print on a substance fabric. In the render there is always a color shade put on top of the print of the fabric and I cannot change it. Everything looks fine in the 3D window, but then it's not showing the printed fabric in the rendering. How can I fix this? I also tried other fabrics that are not substance fabrics and I had the same problem. I never had a problem with prints before... I tried everything. The file is png and there is no transparency in the file. It's also RGB. I also tried other print files and the same happens. Can anyone help?

What's really going on in the render, is that the substance fabric has a small displacement (as well as transparency). So in render, parts of the fabric are being raised above the print, and the print is only visible through the transparent holes of the mesh. The print is placed at the non-displaced level of the fabric, also (like displacement) the opacity map of the fabric doesn't transfer to the print, so even if you adjust the displacements, the print will look like it does in the simulation window. It would completely cover the mesh texture and holes. This isn't particular to Substance fabrics, any time you place a print on a fabric (rather than incorporating it into the fabric texture repeat), you'll have this issue (and it might be the desired effect if the print really does mask the fabric texture, like a decal, you just need to specify the displacement of the decal). What you need is add the fabric maps to the print and scale them correctly. That isn't as easy, since Substance is handling all the maps for you, but they are in the working file system somewhere. But then at that point, you might prefer to just work with maps, which you could export from Substance, instead of using the plugin. The difference is the texture will be applied to the face, and the solid fabric will show elsewhere.
Left, PBR fabric with print and no maps, renders behind beige mesh just like your example. Right Substance fabric with print (plus applied maps: normal, displacement, opacity). The print shows on the face, but the purple mesh shows at the edges (and from behind). I don't know if anything has changed recently, but you will get a different behavior if the print is applied in the property editor. Maybe that's what you're more accustomed to doing, but it's not possible with substance files.
