clo7 does not work / unusuable on mac m1 pro / monteray - please help!
hi all,
can anyone get clo7 to work well on mac m1 pro, running monteray.
i love love clo, and all the older version would work (simulate a bit slowly) but a least they worked. clo 7 does not work at all.
a second after you simulate / try and adjust any garment, it lags for about 10/20 seconds before moving the garment. and this is when testing on the SIMPLEST default female tee that comes in clo.
try and make any other adjustment to the basic simple tshirt and clo7 will hang and then crash.
is anyone else having this problem? i see people having similar experience on reddit and discord, and not happy.
clo7 claims it runs fine on m1, and monteray, so i dont understand this?
anyone at clo can you help?

I upgraded to 7.0 and run it on my MacBook Pro. It is running fine. I suggest that you close down all other applications while using CLO - if you haven't done so. Also check your internet speed, sometimes my CLO lags when rendering and then I check my internet and can see it is really weak. (I cannot do anything about internet though). I can say 7.0 is a little different, the 3d/2d screen does not fit as well into my screen as before. Also in previous releases when I had problems I just re-installed it. I hope you resolve this as I too LOVE CLO. It will work!! You just hit a glitch.

hi jeb, glad it's working for you. mind me asking what kind of mac m1 you're using, and are you on monteray?
do you have to adjust any of your settings? either the number of CPU's or anything else in simulation settings, or user settings to get it to work?

This is my MacBook Pro. If I were you, I would shut down your laptop. Close every application individually- especially Microsoft!! Start your computer again and open CLO and see. It is probably just stuck. I find that my Microsoft updates interfere with other applications on my iOS. A theory. Also make sure your laptop is up to date as well. Let me know how you do!

hey jeb, thanks for sharing. yes i've tried shutting down and closing everything down too... the only other intense thing i use is cinema 4d + redshift. but on a full restart with nothing else open.... clo still lags so badly its almost unusable.
the default garment on default avatars are a little better. but trying any even basic garment on a custom avatar is snails pace. the clothes usual join at the sew lines ok, but its when you try to grab and adjust, it stutters so bad. a delayed response of 5-10 seconds each time.
anyhow thanks again for sharing. not sure what else to do here.
also did you get on the discord ok? let me know if i can link it to you somehow
there's a marvelous, clo, and a sub clo discord, fabricant is good too (last one)

I am sorry to hear you are still having problems. I am out of ideas for you. I too am on the Fabricant Discord, I need the Discord server address for CLO and I was unable to access it from your link above. But thanks for trying!
