Scaling and Rotating Back Side Texture

    Hi isabelcrosby2 ,

Could you please share a screenshot of your 2D window as well as the property editor with the front fabric info and then the back fabric info? A screenshot like the following would help me answer you more accurately:

In any case, you should be able to change the transformation values directly in the property editor in order to change your textures size and rotation.

The textures from the front and the back should be disconnected(untick use same as front in PE of back texture).

In 2D, you can use the edit texture tool on the back of the fabric to change the positioning and size of it. It is true that by default the texture on the back is flipped. You can use the right click with the edit texture tool on the back to flip the texture:

I hope those few tips help!

I don't know if you all saw my response, I accidentally responded via the email with zendesk. Basically it seems rotating and scaling aren't a problem, but the issue is when moving the texture around with the Edit Texture tool. As soon as you do this, even if using the backside fabric view in 2D, it moves the front texture as well.

Hi isabelcrosby2 in order to move the Front and Back Textures of the fabric separately you will need to go into your chosen fabrics Property Editor. Then go to the Back fabric Tab. Uncheck Use same Material as Front (if there is a Color you want applied to Front and Back you can check use same Color as front). The front and back will now be unlinked and you will now be able to move/scale/rotate the Front and Back independently.

Hi. Yes, I've done this :) They are 2 different textures. I can scale and rotate the texture separately without an issue. But if you simply click and drag with the Edit Texture tool to move the texture's placement, it also moves the Front side.

Let me know if you can recreate it.

Hi isabelcrosby2. Thank you for clarifying. You are correct that you cannot use the Edit Texture Tool to move the individually. Since CLO thinks you are just trying to move where the pattern piece is cut on the roll of fabric. Instead if you want to adjust the placement of the Texture/Print on just one side you will need to go into that fabrics Property Editor > Choose which side you want to adjust Front/Back > Go to Texture > Transformation > Position X & Position Y. From there you can manually start to adjust and move where the print is. See below image for reference.

I hope that this helps and I am also putting in a future feature request to add the ability to move Front vs. Back textures separately.

Ahh Yes. This totally makes sense with a fabric created in the emulator... But yes, thank you! A feature request would be great for whenever you're combining textures within CLO to create a new fabric, or in my case making a pattern making ruler in CLO... :D haha

    Thank you!
