animating garments with .OBJ
Hi
I have custom belt buckles saved as OBJ files. when i import them, as avatars or trims, they do not respond to simulation; they remain static.
I am trying to give them weight and respond to gravity, so as to move with the garment when i apply motion and animate.
Any advice?

Hi dojoh. When you bring in an OBJ as an avatar it will not respond to gravity or animate with motions. If you would like the buckle to react with Gravity/Simulation you will need to add the Buckle as a Trim and then use the "Glue Bottle" to attach to the belt.
Hope this helps!

Hi! I have the same problem. But importing the obj as a trim just makes the fabric fall right through the belt buckle.

Hi Daiana Jansson ,
You are right, when importing as a trim and using the glue bottle to attach your buckle to the belt: the colision detection is not applied anymore thus making the buckle go through. It is not possible at the moment to have your trim follow the fabric movement and have colision detection at the same time. I will forward your wish as a feature request to our dev team.
Kind regards.
