Add a polygon to an already existing one

Good morning, I was wondering if there is a way to add a polygon to an already existing polygon

I mean, is it possible with Polygon tool to continue drawing a polygon after I have done one? For example, I have done the
triangle on the left, now I want to continue the polygon creating another triangle
At the moment the only way I know is to use Merge, do you know other ways?

Or maybe I want to add a rectangle like in this picture

At the moment I'm using Merge

  Hi donatella. You can edit any pattern shape after they have been created. If you wanted to take a single triangle and create the merged triangle you have above you could do this two other ways then the merge yoy used.

  -Use the Edit Pattern tool > R-Click on the line you want to be the central line and choose Unfold.

  -Use the Add Segment Point/Split Line tool to add a new point and then change to the Edit Pattern tool to move the segment point to when you would like it to be.

  Thank you very much, I've solved the problem of the 2 triangles using UNFOLD and then CHANGE LENGHT

  If I want to add rectangle to the new triangle is there another way besides Merge?

  Hi donatella. You can always Extend pattern Edge.
