pattern making options
Hello CLO3D Community,
I have a question regarding the adjusting of the patterns. I created a pattern and want to adjust this one for another person with different measurements. I used the 'Auto Grading' function. But I'm looking for an option to adjust the pattern by myself. For example to define the width of the calf, knee and thigh by x+1,5cm. Afterwards I can just add the right measurements for the x for each person.
I hope you understand what I mean.
Kind regards,
Ronald

Hi rreinke,
thank you for reaching out to us.
If I understood you correctly your question is how to create individual grading rules for your pattern.
To grade your pattern manually you can use the grading tool. In this video HERE , you will find a detailed explanation starting at min 04:02.
The process basically looks as follows:
1.) Go to Object Browser>Grading tab>size>+add to create a new size group
2.) Click on the '+' to add more sizes
3.) Select your pattern as a base with the grading tool and assign it to the size group
4.) With the edit grading tool you can now select either points or lines and add grading rules to the black rule table in the property editor
Afterwards I can just add the right measurements for the x for each person.
Once you have applied grading rules to your pattern, the grading will get updated automatically following your rules as soon as you edit your pattern according to new measurements of person x.
I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
Best regards
