how to measure distance between two pattern pieces?
how to measure distance shown by blue line from stitch line to stitch line?
what tools can i use to mark a 2" up and then measure straight across?

If you want to measure the distance by the blue line you indicated, you can use the internal line tool to draw the line first.
Second, check the internal line length with the edit pattern tool. Then you will get the distance.
If you want to mark the 2" up, you can also use the internal line tool to draw the 2" line. First, use internal line tool to left-click the start point and then right-click the internal line for pop up menu. Then you can set the internal line length in specific 2".

hi. thank you for your response. what is internal line tool? will it draw 2" line down outside the pattern? Not sure i understand how visually it will look like.

i tried to right click to set a line, a box pops up, i enter distance moved 6" and the line disappears?
