Am I required to use C++ to create a plugin or can this be done using Python?

Hello everyone,

I am just getting into CLO3D and am trying to create a plugin. One thing I haven't been able to figure out from the documentation is if I need to use C++ to create a plugin or if this can be done using Python. 

Does anyone know the answer to this?
Is there anyone who has an example of a plugin that you are willing to share? I would love to find some working code to learn from.
