Importing a FBX with bones failed
Hi all,
I've encountered a deal breaking issue with Clo and importing custom avatars. We are trying to simulate garments on custom created avatars for high end rendering in 3ds max.
We've created a base model with a rig in CC3 and the exported FBX can be imported in Clo 6 without any issues, all the bones are intact. A month ago I could also import the FBX in 3ds max, do literally nothing with it, and export it again with standard settings and it would still work.
The problem I'm facing now is that when I do exactly the same, the bones in Clo get messed up. Only a few remain, the rest of the rig isn't working.
The first question that would come to mind is, what did you change? The answer. Nothing. All the software and old FBX files are the same. I use the same export methods. This is getting quite annoying and I don't know how to fix this. Anybody got an idea?
Attached you'll find two FBX files. One is the original straight from CC3, the other is imported and exported from 3ds max without any changes.
If anyone is willing to try it out and see if the 3ds max version is working that would be a great help.
Who has an answer for me?
