FOR MAC USERS - WHAT APP DO YOU USE TO PLAY .AVI VIDEOS ?
Hi y'all. So I use a Macbook pro for Clo and so far to get the animation videos I screen record them because the Mac Quickplayer doesn't play .avi videos. Unfortunately, my screen recorded videos always come out blurry by the time I post them on social media :(
When I tried to play Clo videos it says I have to download either Xvid or Lagarith
codec but both software won't install on my Mac and I keep getting the notification that they are only compactly for Windows computers, so I don't know what to do ??
Has anybody come across the same issue ?? and what did you do >??? I really want high-resolution animations now.
thanks

Try VLC http://www.videolan.org to play avi files but I wouldn't recommend that you export animations as avi files.
I would save them as an image sequence (that will make a separate image for each frame of the animation) and then put them together afterwards (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/quicktime-player/qtp315cce984/mac using Quicktime for example). That way you can stop and start renders if you need to do something else and if your computer crashes/whatever, you haven't lost the whole animation.Adam
