grommet placement

Hi - I am trying to put grommets on my garment, but how do I get it closer to garment ? I need it to look like it was installed on the garment? some how its staying off the garment.

  Go Thick Textured View and then click on the Grommet with simulation turned off. You will see a gizmo with which you can move your grommets.
