How can we help you?

Aligning Internal shapes along a segment

Comments

This is a good question and probably just a feature request. Short answer, no. However depending on what you're trying to do there might be a faster or more accurate way if you're having trouble now, though yours look pretty even. If these are marks for buttons, you can now align buttons along a pattern edge by right clicking the pattern edge with the button tool. If they're marks for something else, the only tip I can give you (which you probably already know) is to offset an internal line from the hem. Then right click and split the line for however many circles you want. Then you'll have markings for all your circles and they will snap to those points pretty easily if you just drag them toward them. If you feel like they're not snapping, zoom in closer.

Sorry I don't have a faster solution, but hopefully CLO can record this as a feature request!

What about creating the curved line, maybe offsetting it from the edge to maintain the same curve. Next, take that line and split it in 10 segments to get 9 points. Then you could take your internal ellipse tool, position your mouse over the points and holding control + shift create the circle starting from the center.

Thanks isabelcrosby2 and pabloquintana  for the replies. Yes those can be option, right!..  but I was just trying to find out if there is a way to align without going through all those. So yes, hopefully Clo will take this as a request :)
