Regarding Open points in CLO
I'm trying to convert these lines (Red) I drew into closed points but can't convert them or find an article that clarifies this. Thank you!

You can't join multiple intersecting lines like this. You can only join 2 lines if they will create one continuous line. It looks like this is 1 line all the way across your hem and another line running vertically that meets it in the middle, right? Can I ask, why do you want to join these? What are you ultimately trying to do?

If you are trying to make the internal shapes into a pattern, you can still do it even without the points being joined. Use the trace tool and select all the four edges and then right click.
You could create an "L" shape too on each side even if the middle line is overlapping. Like Isabel mentioned, I'm not sure what is that you are trying to accomplish here, so help is limited.

Yeah I basically drew these lines with a mixture of add point and I believe the internal polygon tool. I'm trying to raise the hem of my pant block to make shorts. What I did was bring the closed points up to open points but I feel like theres a better way of doing this. I also came to the problem when lowers my waist but offset the pattern outline this time.

Thank you for your response and sorry for my vague question. I was raising the hem of this pant block to turn into shorts. I raised it 15 inches initially by grabbing the bottom segment. The fit wasn't proper, so I tried drawing my new placement up 3 inches from that point and I couldn't bring it there because it was an open point and I couldn't change it to a closed one.

@isabelcrosby2 @PabloQuintana
This is my first 3D program and this is my first month with the program after being trained TUKA. I'm fresh out of college, I'm a real beginner but I know this program is great. I have a side question, I was wondering if any of you knew how to turn off the simulation? Any time I try changing anything or moving points in 2D, the program has to load the adjustments to 3D and it really slows down my workflow.
Thank you guys for helping me out and I hope life is treating you well!

Brandon, when raising the hem or lowering your waist is best to use the Offset Pattern Outline tool with the Retract option.
Turn the simulation by clicking the downward arrow.

What Pablo said ;) *Offset Pattern Outline- "Retract" This tool can also "Extend" your pattern if you want to lengthen the hem or raise the waist.

Perfect! Thank you!
As for the simulation, its off but whenever I make any changes, it still takes 5-10 seconds per change that I make and I'll get a screen like this

Thank you again!

This happens occasionally, but should not happen with every change? Do you mind if I ask what kind of device you are using? Unfortunately...you may just need a more powerful computer : /

That is not the simulation. Is normal behavior. Maybe you should check for a faster computer.

Yeah I'm working on an older Mac... How much RAM do you think is needed to have the program run smoothly?

RAM is a factor but for simulation purposes you have to have more than 2 cores like in your case to see better speeds. Something from 4 up or better 8. Check the system recommendations here:
