Black image on black fabric shows white outline

Hi, I wonder if anyone had to deal with this. I am trying to create an embossed effect using displacement maps. I have black lettering on transparent background and I want to put it on black fabric. When I place the image, it shows white outline around each letter, which can not be clipped or removed. How do I get rid of it? Thank you.

  Update! The outline appears if you use Invert on the image (in Photoshop) to create the displacement map. If you use colour overlay option, the line does not show. I hope it helps someone.
