DXF crashing Clo when importing - urgent help

Comments

mponz, sorry to hear that. I have been intensely working with importing DXF files these past weeks, be it with version 5.1 or 5.2 and I haven't had any issues with the process. Most of my files come exported from Gerber's Accumark, but not all of them. Can you try checking with other software like share.padsystem.com with which you can have a 30 day trial to test the files first. If you were able to import them into PAD, you could re-export them as DXF and then try again importing them to CLO.

It is most likely related to the export process from your CAD software. Do you know what is being used for the CAD files when converting them to DXF?

    Hi Pablo,

thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately I have no way of knowing which software they were exported with, but as I mentioned I don't think it's relevant since I asked for help to another user and they had no issues  in importing it correctly. Also, I can easily open other dxf from the same batch without a problem, that's why I was looking for suggestions on what it could be since I'm pretty sure it's not a problem of the dxf (or .AI) file itself but rather a bug or a malfunctioning of my pc, so I can try to find a solution

    cheers

This was 3 years ago, but I am having the same issue. Upon import or add .dxf, CLO crashes & closes after the import details screen. My colleague has been able to open the file OK. This is going on with 2 dxf files. All sent from different factories but no rhyme or reason why these two causes crash on my end. Any thoughts?
