Gathers too heavy for belt construction

Hello ifashion. I would say first you need to reduce the particle distance to have a more stable simulation. Then, if you want the belt to squeeze the dress and stay in the same place at the same time, I would stitch it first, simulate, and when everything is in place just delete the stitches and quickly simulate again while leaving the dress frozen.

Thanks a lot for your help! I always underestimate setting particle distance stept by step lower, and I was not aware of this tools! :)

But I dont know how to stitch the belt around porperly, because Ive never done this and its a wrap dress with an overlap. Also I cannot sew the bottom edge of the belt because of the gathering
at the skirt. Sorry I dont understand, the way you describe also shrink the garment in advance?

Normally if I wrap a belt, I shrink the whole garment, and arrange the belt at the back, sew both ends together and let it crawl down. Then remove shrinking.

Thanks for your help, but so far I really do not manage it.

I tacked the overlap, and did freeze the bodice, but I want to avoid to shrink it. But I have to shrink the skirt part heavily, so that the belt sits on top of it.
Then I highered the friction and also applied solidify on the belt pattern piece. Everything on distance 10 to 15 (pic 1) After simulating and removing the shrinkage of the skirt part,
the belt crawls up time and again (pic 2)
