Pocket Square

Hi,

 

I am looking to put a pocket square (rectangle piece of 8x8 cloth) into the breast pocket of a sports jacket. Could some please suggest the best way to do that.

  Hi Karan. I will not go in detail of how to make the pocket as I believe you already have that part done.

  For the pocket square, I would create a piece that is the height of what you want to be visible outside the pocket (no need to create the part that is inside the pocket).

  Then, depending of what folding shape you'd like, you should create the folding lines. You can read about creating pleats in CLO in the link below.

  When your fold is done, you should calculate the length of the folded piece to match about 98% of the pocket width, so you can stitch it to an internal line.
