How can we help you?

Hello Mwang. The grading will go as nested in the DXF-AAMA or DXF-ASTM file when exporting. You can open it in Adobe Illustrator and then save as PDF. In AI you can manipulate the grading, text, notches, etc. as everything is in a separate layer per size.

Post again with your results if successful or not, so we can help more people that might have the same question.

Hello admarcheleta. Not sure about Inkscape and its compatibility with PDF or AI format. Can you share more details about your issue?

Hi Pablo, Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I tested it out for a simple pattern, exported to DXF. Then opened in the AI. It shows attached. I tried couple times, it just can't read right in AI.  Is that any other method I can try? Any advice helps!

Hey mwang, I was struggling with this the other day too, there are two lines, the seam line and the cut line, every size is layered on top of eachother including the annotations, the line weight is way too big and then the artboard is way too big. It all makes it look like a jumbled mess. Start by making your line weight as tiny as possible and you'll start to see the pattern the way you intended!

I was trying out the suggested method and it worked, except it didn't export the notches with the pattern. I was actually getting an error message when opening it in AI saying the font wasn't found and was being replaced. Not sure if this has anything to do with it. I have Myriad Pro, the Clo3D font, installed on my computer already.

When i exported as DXF i only get one layer not all my graded options, i choose to include all layers

If i do as PDF i get the layers

I want to edit the graded options and make it difference colors and write on pieces.

What is the best software to use to do this rather than using PDF Editor?

    Thanks

I would like to request the "Export to PDF" is an option from the Print Layout screen. I would prefer not to have to place my pattern in Illustrator manually, when the program is already generating an efficient marker layout. Most print shops want a PDF. Is this feature planned?
