Changing zipper type

    Hey Nancy. In the 3D Viewport, using the Select Tool (Q) select the zipper tape and then you can select a different texture in the Property Editor window to the right. See the attached.

    Hi! Thanks again for your help!

    I followed your instructions--when I open the options in Texture, only the plastic zipper option appears.  The nylon zipper is in my library on the left side--how do I get that library option into the texture file so I can select it.

    Lastly, the end of a zipper usually has a metal stopper---do you know how to make the end appear?

    Thanks again and enjoy the day!

    Well, if for some reason you don't see the texture of the Nylon tape there, you could just go to the Library panel Hardware and Trims>Zippers>Tape and you'll see both images there. Then you can drag and drop that onto the Texture field once you've selected the zipper tape in the 3D Viewport.

    As for the stopper, I modeled a quick beveled block for you. You can download here and then import as Trim and apply it to the end of the tape.

    Hi!  Thank you for making the OBJ!!!  Sometimes it takes a community to build a garment! :)

    Enjoy the day! Nancy

    @sommernancyj

    You can make better textures than those that come as standard.
    You can use obj as a tip, as Pablo advised, or you can sew a small piece of fabric, add thickness, and choose a metal shader for it.
