Custom OBJ Topstitch
Hi!
Since I'd like to have VERY realistic model I was wondering if it possible to upload custom obj topstitches. I won't work on textures because most of the time I'm rendering in a software different from Clo, so I need to export the thread as a geometry.
My problem is due to the fact that working on leather goods the default topstitch looks like it is flying a few millimeters from the piece, and this thing is pretty visible from certain perspective of the renders when zooming.
Do anyone has any idea?
Cheers

Hello Ponz. I have to say this is on the waiting list for a while. One thing for sure is that adding topstitches to your garment will increase its size very quick. I went to check what possibilities there were and found no way to add in customized OBJs. I will suggest you the following:
1. Investigate a bit more this method used for buttons. I tried to unzip some of the STP or SS files but couldn't find the OBJs referenced there. Maybe you can.

2. Use texture stitches from far away renders. You will have more control. Adding some custom normal maps will make the trick for this renders.

3. If you have a close-up shot where only small part of your garment is visible, I guess the only way is to manually manipulate the mesh in your favorite 3D program.
I hope this can help.

Hi Pablo,
I've answered you via email, thank you :)
here some pictures of what I'd LOVE to achieve as a render result:
I really hope the topstitch tool will be perfected soon! :))
Thanks!
