Clo3D Model transfer pipeline
Hi Clo3D fans and geniuses :)
Before asking, just to mention that we are new to Clo3D and are in the process of evaluating as a platform of common grounds with one of our customers.
One of the objectives we have is transferring designed artifacts from our customer to us as 3D models to be later presented outside of Clo3D.
I'm interested in exporting projects from CLO3D for web/mobile based real time applications. The particle distance is more than enough for polygon count optimization so there's no problem there. What i'd like to know is how i can get the materials to the same quality of realism. I export to OBJ then to GLB/GLTF and i would like to bypass hopefully all other 3rd party 3D software in the pipeline process of getting it ready for web/mobile application.
I'm looking for ways to maintain things like the fresnel falloff and the normal maps and specular glossiness etc.
Any pointers or advice would be most welcome.
Hello! I have no solution for your issues, but we are dealing with the same challenges. Exporting as .obj and then making GLB/GLT => would be great, but we are now needing a workaround for fixing transparency issues, visualization of specular/roughness,... Hang in there! Lien0
Hello there ! :-)
This is a very interesting post,
and I'm looking for the process to export Clo3D files to .glb format, do you have any solution for this process ?
Thanks for your answer0
Hi there, is there an update on this? Shopify now supports 3D models and their help file says that the file type to use if GLB so thought I'd jump in and see if there was support for this?0
Seeing that the new Clo update has an 'gltf/glb' export option is exciting! I just tried them out- there seems to be some issues regarding texture orientation, scaling and transparency... Has anyone tried it out with good results?0
