Custom Zipper Teeth
Hi!
I know some people may be confused about how to change the zipper teeth when using the 3D Zipper tool. It seems more confusing than it actually is, I promise!
Since the zipper teeth are flat like a pattern piece and aren't actually 3-dimensional, you can just switch out the texture image to customize the way they look. To see where the zipper teeth texture lives, click on your zipper teeth and look in the Property Editor.
This is what the default texture looks like:
You can use it as a base to scale other image files and make sure they match. I'm sharing what I use for my metal zipper teeth here, but there are tons of images on vendor websites and on Google. My metal zipper is a Photoshop file that's set up so that I can replace twill color whenever I want.
Any of the zippers below could also be cropped and scaled to replace the default zipper image.
