Artwork export for dye sublimation/printing
Hey y'all! Clo3d noobie here. I was wondering if I could use Clo to export print files that my manufacturer can use to dye sublimate/print artwork on my fabric pattern/panels in production?
I was thinking that I would have to bring my pattern into Illustrator or Photoshop and add artwork and provide them the files but, I'm hoping that Clo will help me skip a step.

Hi ryanmvickerman,
Any artwork will be included and extractable from the CLO project file, however, depending on the quality you are aiming for, it is not recommended to insert very large image files into a project file, as it will slow down work in CLO as well as making the file more vulnerable to corruption. (As a comparison, a file containing a simple garment and a standard avatar is around 20-25MB. Image files of several hundred MBs, sometimes escalating file size to near or over 1GB, are advised against.)

Thanks for the fast response! My primary concern is tracking artwork scaling changes made in CLO. I would imagine the best course of action would be to export the patterns out of CLO and add the artwork in Illustrator...but, I'm worried about the delta between the mockups and the production files. How is this typically handled in your experience?

Hi ryanmvickerman,
Any scaling will be visible inside the file by percentage or in measurements:
