grading with a spec - help please
Hello!
New to clo3d and hoping for some help here – I have a size range (comprehensive body measurements) set for sizes from 0 – 18. I want to grade my patterns to fit each size without needing to manually adjust specific pattern points, but by grading to fit the specified body measurements. What is the best method to do this? Is there a way I can enter this spec into clo so I can auto grade using my unique body size spec? Or perhaps I need to create custom size avatars across all sizes and then use the clo auto grade function to grade the patterns to each size?
Many thanks!

Hi swagnercreative,
It is better to understand the Auto Grading tool as an Auto Fitting tool. It will fit a garment onto the measurements of an avatar, but there is no guarantee you don't have to go in and do further edits to get the accurate desired result.
Aside from this as a possibility, there is no automated way of grading in CLO.

Thank you for the insights. Is there a way to create a customized grade rule that I may apply to my patterns rather than manually grading each pattern by point?

Hi swagnercreative,
This is not possible yet, but we will add it as a request for developers to consider :)

Thank you kindly for considering this feature. I've just seen other similar requests as well. As you know its not uncommon to have grades set for specific categories of garment types. Say a specific grade one would use for all slim woven tops or another for all t-shirts for example. it would be a huge time saver and an advantage to have a consistent grade rule to simply set within a form, and then be able select it to apply as patterns are developed.
