Fabric Properties
Hello, I am currently working on a dress with a big train on the back of my design. However, the dress I created in CLO3d looks flat with no fold line in it. What fabric properties should I change in order to achieve the draping effect like on a real human body? Thank you!

We do not recommend changing the fabric properties, but instead selecting the closest fabric from the CLO library (or purchasing a fabric on Connect store).
For the skirt this will be down to styling. But also it does look like there is not enough fabric in your skirt to give that voluminous look. So your pattern may need to be altered.
You can also go to our Discord channel where we have many pattern makers who may by able to help you, but you will need to add an image of your 2D pattern window so people can see. How to join our Discord HERE

Thank you so much for the reply. I have joined the discord channel. Since I already post the first part of my question here, I was hoping to finish off all of my questions here if that's okay.
I created another dress with a smaller train and that actually achieved the affect I wanted it to be. I have attached both dresses and their 2D patterns along with this post. Can you help me to point out what the issue is? Does this mean a dress with a long train can not achieved the folded line I wanted it to have? Or should I make the pattern even bigger (like half of a circle) in order to achieve the affect for the longer train dress?

Hi fionalin
WE are happy to help. Please note that we are here to assist with CLO questions. But for pattern making it is better to reach out to pattern makers.
That being said, yes the pattern does need to be larger. The sketch has a very exaggerated side train. You may need to add pleats or gussets to get that fullness.
