virtuallytrendy The Puller and Slider in question are not part of an actual zipper, but rather added as an Avatar as trim/etc. Are all Avatars hidden?

    Hi!

For the Welt pieces, have you adjusted their Particle Distance? You would want to reduce them to 5PD or possible smaller.

Another good solution is instead of using the zipper tool. Add the Zipper Puller/Topper as an OBJ Trim from the HArdware and Trims folder. And apply the Tape as a graphic. This will give you more control over the hardware

CLO Designers Thank you very much for your quick response.

I have tried everything you have told me, it has improved a lot but I still can't get the zip (it's an OBJ) to fit between the two welts correctly.

I attach pictures!. If you need more information, let me know. Thank you.

    Any suggestions/help, please?

    Regards!

    virtuallytrendy,

What about forcing the behavior you want with some tacks with non-zero thread length?  You could add a tack between the fold points of the two welts at about the position of the slider and set the length to something on the order of the full width of the welt, maybe that's 2cm.  This should force the welts apart like a tent pole.  If necessary, you could also tack them together somewhere behind the zipper pull with tack length  of 1 mm or something tiny.  Maybe not zero so it doesn't look too pinched.

I don't have a welt zipper handy, but here's three tacks along a side seam placket:

Hi. So with a little experimentation I have been able to get this to work very nicely. I did two versions.

First version - The welt has no fold over. So the welt pattern pieces are just to exposed rectangle and not folded. This version is easier to keep stable since there are less layers.

-When bringing in the Puller and Slider make sure they are brought in as an Avatar. Then reduce the Skin Offset to 0.5

-For the welt pieces make sure to reduce the Particle Distance to 3. Also reduce Additional Thickness Collision to 1.5.

-If you want the pieces to appear thicker like it was folded over you could increase Additional Thickness Render to 1.

    Second version

This has the welt pocket pattern pieces folded over.

-When sewing then on make sure to change the sewing from Custom to Turned.

--When bringing in the Puller and Slider make sure they are brought in as an Avatar. Then reduce the Skin Offset to 0.5

--For the welt pieces make sure to reduce the Particle Distance to 3. Also reduce Additional Thickness Collision to 0.0

jpreo Thanks, I tried it but it didn't look good! I can't get it!

Thank you for the two versions, I tried to make the second version but it didn't turn out well.
I'm making the first version but I can't get the simulation to finish and look like the image you sent me.
I attach a GIF... what am I doing wrong?

    Any suggestions, please?

    Thanks again. Regards.

It does take some practice. I would not use layering since that is for fabric pieces and not hardware

-First have you set the PD of the welt pieces to 3 or smaller? Has the Additional Thickness Collision been reduced to 1.5 (can go smaller once it is stable). You might also want to reduce the Particle Distance and Collision of the main body piece the welt is attached to.

-Second for the zipper was the Skin offset reduced to 0.5

-When attaching the welts turn on strengthen first and place the pattern pieces about a cm in front o where they will be sewn to( you can also use Superimpose over and then pull them slightly forward so they are not colliding with the zipper). Once they are just in front of their finished location you can turn simulation on.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you also for your help!

Now that I've got something better... after making some changes and putting everything to PD at 5... The puller and slider have disappeared... I don't see them but they do appear in the inspector on the right.

    Where are they?

    Help please?
    Regards!

True, sorry... as it's an "Avatar", it was hidden.

    Thanks again!

Always happy to help. If you want to just hide the Avatar and not the Zipper you can R-Click on the Avatar in the 3D window. Near the bottom of the drop down will be the option the Hide Avatar. This will only hide the selected.
