Can you add an image of the type of button hole you are looking to make?
Is it something like the below image?

Hi there,
The simplest approach would be to find a photograph of a piped buttonhole (best in a similar type of fabric as your actual project) and crop it in a photo editing software of your choice.
Also, assuming that the buttonhole doesn't have the correct color yet, please set it to black/white and lighten it up until it is "white" but mind that you don't lose the fabric's visual surface.
This image is then exported to .PNG and registered as a buttonhole in CLO.
In the resulting dialog window, you can name your buttonhole and click on the "+" to select the newly created .PNG as image. Confirm with "Okay"
The new buttonhole is registered and can be used with the usual button/buttonhole tools. To edit color/size of your new buttonhole, please set the appropriate values in the property editor.
This is the proper workflow for a working piped buttonhole in CLO. In case you need the pattern pieces for production, it is still recommended to follow this workflow and additionally create the pattern pieces, but archive/hide them until needed.
