Assigning a different coloured fabric to a shirt collar

i dont know why but my shirt has a brown collar right now and im trying to assign the white dress shirt fabric which is my shirt fabric but it will not assign.

  The white fabric is assigned. The orange/brown color is from the bonding that is applied. If you want to apply bonding, but not see the binding you can go to the 3D toggle and turn the visual binding off.
