How can we help you?

what happend after style line editing?

It's similar to making edits in the 2D window.  The mesh changes immediately and the 3D window shows that, but the ways the sewing relations and fabric physics pull those pieces doesn't happen until you simulate.  So best practice is alternating: small edit, simulate, small edit, simulate...

    Hi jpreo,

Thank you very much for your kind reply.

May I further ask do you know does the CLO3D do a part simulation (only simulate the corresponded 3D part of the edited 2D pattern) to do 'making edits in the 2D window.  The mesh changes immediately and the 3D window shows that'?

When you make a change to your pattern in 2D you will immediately see the change in the 3D window, but CLO will not recalculate the of the garment till you turn on simulation. Once you turn on Simulation it will recalculate the drape of everything in the window and not just what you changed.

Thank you very much for your help.

My question is how does the system make that immediate change in 3D?

It will follow the current direction of how the garment is hanging/draping. Which is why sometimes the pattern piece might cut into the avatar, but as soon as you simulate the garment will adjust to drape properly.

    See below images.

    1) The Tee as is

2)The Tee with the hem lengthened. In 3D it extents how it was previously draped. Going straight down in the middle, but flaring out at the sides where it previously flared at the avatars hips

    3) Simulation turned on and adjusted
