Someone please tell me how to improve the neckband of t-shirt as it turns up.

I am a clo beginner.

I tried to create a realistic neckband based on this video, but the collar turns up and looks like a mock neck sweater. I am doing exactly the same operation as in the video, but what is wrong?

  Thanks for reaching out.

  It is hard to find the issue without seeing every pattern pieces but it seems like that the sewing line type of the neck band has not been set to [turned].
