New in 2026.1
A volumetric calculation tool specifically engineered for bag and accessory development.
Select Target Patterns
-
Select
Volume Measure (Garment/Bag) tool from 3D Toolbar ▶ Inside the menu group of
Linear Measure (Garment).
-
Select the patterns that form the enclosed space of the bag from either the 2D or 3D windows.
-
Press the Enter key to confirm the pattern range and run the automated calculation.
→ In the 3D window, confirmed patterns are highlighted in Green. An orange measurement mesh is created inside the bag.
→ Display volume properties instantly in the Property Editor.
Edit Volume
-
Select
Edit Volume Measure (Garment/Bag) tool from 3D Toolbar ▶ Inside the menu group of
Edit Measure (Garment).
-
Click on the orange measurement mesh to select the target volume block.
→ Display measurement properties instantly in the Property Editor.
-
Move the measurement mesh along the X, Y, or Z directions using the three standard directional arrows in the 3D window.
-
Click the Scale button on the tool for mesh resizing in the 3D window.
Click the Scale button again to exit back to standard Select/Move mesh mode.
Measurement Properties
- The following properties display in the Property Editor after confirming the pattern target, or whenever clicking on an existing measurement mesh.
| Properties | Descriptions |
| Name | Name of each volume. |
| Volume Measurement (L) | Volume calculation result from the bag/garment’s measurement mesh. |
| Target Volume (L) | Set the goal capacity value. |
| Tolerance (L)/(%) |
Sets the acceptable deviation range from the Target Volume. Example: If Target Volume is 10 L, and Tolerance is +/-2 L, the acceptable range is from 8 to 12 L. |
| Unit | Set the tolerance measurement between Liters (L) or Percentage (%). |
| Mesh Scale |
Resize the measurement mesh in the 3D window. A higher value makes the mesh move outward. A Lower value makes the mesh move inward. |
Reset and Delete
-
Select
Edit Volume Measure (Garment/Bag) tool from 3D Toolbar ▶ Inside the menu group of
Edit Measure (Garment).
-
Right-click on the orange dummy mesh.
-
Select Reset to reset the measurement mesh back to its original position and scale values derived from the first calculation.
- Select Delete (Shortcut: Del) to delete the selected measurement mesh and clear its properties.
📝 Note:
- Volume dummy meshes do not automatically update when the pattern is edited or when a 3D Simulation is re-run. The mesh preserves its shape based on the state of the pattern when it was first calculated. This allows you to keep it as a constant design reference. To update the calculation, delete the existing mesh and measure the area again.
