Apply a fold angle that tapers from one end of an internal line to the other, creating smoother and more gradual folds across a pattern (e.g., a front crease on formal trousers).

1. Select the Edit Pattern tool from the 2D toolbar.
     
2. Click on an internal line to select it. 
   → The Fold section appears in the Property Editor with two toggle buttons: Uniform and Variable.
    
3. Select a fold mode:
   • Uniform (default): The Fold Angle value is applied uniformly across the entire internal line. Behaviour is identical to previous versions.
   • Variable: The Fold Angle value is applied at one end of the line and tapers to flat (180°) at the other end.
      
4. Adjust the Fold Angle slider (0–360°) to set the angle at the active end.
     
5. (Variable only) Click the ⇄ icon next to the Variable button to reverse the direction — swapping which end carries the fold angle and which end is flat.
   

📝 Note: For symmetric internal lines, switching the fold mode and adjusting the angle is automatically mirrored to the symmetric counterpart. To edit each side independently, right-click the internal line and select Remove Linked Editing first.
