Tape Measure (Point-to-Point)

Objective 

Measure the precise distance between two points on the fabric layout to verify alignment, pattern matching, or spacing between nested pattern pieces.

Location Print Layout Editor ▶ Vertical Toolbar ▶ Tape Measure (Point-to-Point)

Operation

1. Select Tool: Click the Tape Measure (Point-to-Point) icon from the vertical toolbar.

2. Define Start Point: Click on a point, edge, or specific location on a pattern piece to establish the beginning of the measurement.

3. Define End Point: Click on a second point (either on the same pattern piece or a different one) to finish the measurement.

   • A dashed green line will appear, displaying the distance between the two points in the current unit of measure.

4. New Measurement: Click again to start a new measurement.

📝 Note: Only one active measurement is displayed at a time; creating a new start point will clear the previous measurement.
