2) Press the arrow keys on the keyboard to change the degree based on how the Grain Orientation is set up.
Examples:
• Grain Orientation One way: The numbers will switch every 45 degrees.• Grain Orientation Two Or Four Way: The numbers will switch every 90 Degrees.
3) Or enter a specific degree.Link All Colorways If there are multiple colorways within the project file checking this checkbox on will apply the grainline information to all colorways.
If the checkbox is unchecked that means each colorway can be different.
📝 Note: This could be helpful if you want more control when entering production or if you are planning on having different fabrics for different colorways.
Grain
OrientationTo decide how many different orientations/ directions the pattern can be placed on the fabric roll.
📝 Note:These options are very important for when moving into production and learning how much it would cost to produce the garment. This is also very important because based on the fabric you have applied certain the different orientations will change how much or how little stretch the garment has.
One Way The pattern should only be placed in that one orientation that is dictated by the Grain Direction degree. Two Way The pattern can be placed in two different orientation.
The degree dictated by the Grain Direction and the degree that is the direct opposite (180 degree from the original).
Examples:
• 0 Degree Original: 180 Degree second option.
• 90 Degree Original: 270 Degree Second option.
Four Way The pattern can be placed in four different orientations.
The degree dictated by the Grain Direction and any other orientation that 90 degree from the original degree.
Examples:
• 0 Degree Original: 90,180,270 other options.
• 45 Degree Original: 135,225,315 other options.
