Objective

Create Internal Lines perpendicular to Pattern outlines or 2D window.

Operation

Add from a Point

Follow the indicated guideline below:

Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Pattern

2D Toolbar ▶ Edit Pattern
Right click on the point of a Pattern outline or Internal Line.
→The right-click pop-up menu appears.

Hover the mouse over the Add Perpendicular Internal Line option.
→ Below options appear.

X-Axis	Can type in Internal Line's angle based on 2D window's X-axis.
Y-Axis	Can type in Internal Line's angle based on 2D window's Y-axis.
Local	Can type in Internal Line's angle based on the selected segment.

Select the desired option.
→The Add Perpendicular Internal Line window with different options appears based on your selection.

Option	Description
	X-Axis/ Y-Axis	Local (Pattern outline)	Local (Internal Line)
Angle	Type in the angle for the Internal Line. As the default angle is 90º, you may easily create Internal Line perpendicularly.
Length	Type in Internal Line's length.
Extend	When the option is toggled on, the Internal Line extends to Pattern outlines. When the Length value is different from the length when it is extended, the option turns off automatically.
Both (ver5.0.0)	Add Internal Line on both sides of the selected point.
Opposite Segment	Not Applicable	Internal Line is created based on the other side of the selected line.
Reverse	Not Applicable		The Internal Line is reversed.

Add from a Segment

Follow the indicated guideline below:

Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Pattern

2D Toolbar ▶ Edit Pattern
Right click on the Pattern outline or Internal Line.
→The right-click pop-up menu appears.
Select Add Perpendicular Internal Line.
→ The Internal Line preview appears at the center of the selected Pattern outline or Internal Line.
→ The Add Perpendicular Internal Line window appears.

Configure below options as needed and click OK.

Option		Description
Angle		Type in the angle for the Internal Line. As the default angle is 90º, you may easily create Internal Line perpendicularly.
Length		Type in the length of the Internal Line.
Distance to Segment Edge		Locate the Internal Line. The Internal Line preview shifts as number changes.
Extend		When the option is toggled on, the Internal Line extends to Pattern outlines. When the Length value is different from the length when it is extended, the option turns off automatically.
Both (ver5.0.0)	Add Internal Line on both sides of the selected line.
Reverse		The Internal Line is reversed.

→ The Internal Line is created accordingly.
