A garment file can be applied in various colors.
Open and Update
- Click the Main Menu » Production » Colorway.
- After editing and adjusting the 3D view, click the Update button at the top left of the Colorway Editor.
Add
Add (Default)

Click the 'Add' button at the top-right corner in Colorway Editor.
→ By default, a colorway is added based on the selected colorway, allowing only the material properties such as color and texture to be changed.
Therefore, a single item (fabric, graphic, trims, etc.) will have different materials for each colorway, and this can be confirmed in the object browser.
📝Note: Even if the Colorway Editor window is closed, you can check the variations for each colorway in the object browser, and you can show or hide them with the 'Show All Colorways' option in the top left corner.
Add as Custom Settings
For various colorways, you can directly set the variation application range for each item. Refer to the example below and set it at once in the colorway addition step, and easily edit and manage it.
- Click the 'Add as Custom Settings' button at the top-right corner in Colorway Editor.
→ A list of items for the selected colorway appears in the Add Colorway window. -
Directly set the variation application range for each item of the colorway to be added.
Option Description Materials Based on the item of the selected colorway, only material properties such as color and texture can be changed. The same applies as for additional (default) results.
Example) If the physical properties of the fabric and the shape of the button are the same but only the color is different
All Properties Items in the selected colorway are automatically copied and applied as new items, allowing all properties to be changed differently.
Example) If it is a completely different fabric or the shape of the button is different.
Link It can be used as the same item as the selected colorway without changing its properties. This option is applied simultaneously when two items are linked to each other and their properties are changed.
Example) When the same fabric and graphics (logo) are used in all colorways
Edit
Change Properties
- Select the thumbnail of the item you want to change in the Colorway Editor window, or select the item in the object browser.
→ The properties of the item appear in the property editor. - Change material properties.

Properties other than material can be changed by directly selecting the corresponding item in the object browser.
📝Note: After selecting a graphic with Transform Graphic tool, uncheck the 'Property Editor > Link All Colorways > Angle or Position' option to rotate or position the graphic differently for each colorway.
Assign Items
- Apply the files of each item (fabric, graphics, subsidiary materials, etc.) directly to the pattern by dragging and dropping them.
→ The item applied to all colorways of the pattern will be replaced at once, and different materials can be applied to each colorway. - Press the Ctrl key on the keyboard while dragging.
→ A single item is linked and applied to all colorways of the pattern..
📝Note: When you drag and drop the thumbnail of each item in the Colorway Editor window, it can only be applied to the item of that colorway, not all colorways.
You can easily and quickly choose whether to apply it to the current colorway only or to all colorways when assigning an item from the Object Browser.
- Drag and drop the Fabric from Object Browser to the 3D garment.
- In the Assign to Colorway window, specify how an item will be assigned to the colorway by default.
* This window will appear only the first time. Even with a default setting, the option can still be changed by pressing the Ctrl key while dragging and dropping afterward.
You can easily assign items directly to the Colorway Editor.
- Drag and drop the items from Object Browser, Library or your computer onto the thumbnail in Colorway Editor.
Set Option

Right-click on each colorway or each item's thumbnail in a colorway to set the desired options.
Option Description
Colorway Delete Delete the colorway. Rename Change the name of the colorway. Item Unlink All Colorways
Unlink the linked item so that it can have different materials applied to each colorway or apply different properties altogether. Select All with Same Color The same color within the colorway is automatically selected.
You can quickly hide multiple graphics at once.
- Right-click on the Graphic thumbnail in the Colorway Editor.
- Click the Hide Other Graphics menu to hide all other graphics that use the same item as the selected graphic.
View Mode
- Click the Show Details button at the bottom-right corner.
→ Colorway window switches to "Viewer Mode" where you can see the colorway thumbnails only.
- Size thumbnails by controlling the scroll bar at the bottom-left corner, or arrange the thumbnails in single or multiple lines by clicking the arrangement button.
Snapshot
- Click on the Save Image button at the left-top corner.
- Select either 3D Window (Colorway Thumbnail) or Colorway Editor, then click OK.
- Save the image after choosing the file extension, the saving path and file name.
📝Note: If you save the garment with colorway as a project file in version 2024.1, it may not be compatible properly with lower versions (2024.0, 7.3).
Therefore, if necessary, it is recommended to separately save the project file for colorway compatibility through the 'Main Menu > File > Save As > Project (with Other Files) menu' option.
