Does CLO offer student discounts? How do I get one?

Answer

Yes. Eligible high school, college, and university students worldwide get 50% off an Individual plan.

• Monthly: $25 USD
• Yearly: $225 USD

The student discount applies for 4 years from when your paid subscription begins. If you are still enrolled after 4 years, you can submit proof of enrollment for a one-time 2-year extension.

Who is eligible?
You must be at least 13 years old and enrolled full-time in one of these:

• University or college: full-time students in an accredited university or college that offers degrees.
• Primary or secondary school: full-time students in an accredited primary or secondary school.

How do I get the student discount?
You can sign up with any email, including a personal one. A school email is only needed to verify your student status during checkout.

If your school domain is registered

1. Create a CLO account with an email where you can reliably receive renewal and payment notifications.
2. Start your free trial. On the checkout page, choose your plan and check “I’m a student, get 50% off.”
3. Click Continue to verification.
4. On the Student Verification page, enter your school email address. It does not have to match your account email, and personal emails such as Gmail cannot be used here.
5. Click the verification link we send to your school inbox.
6. Finish checkout. The summary shows the regular price until verification is complete, and then your student price is applied.

Important: You must verify your student status during checkout. If you skip this step, you will not get the student discount.

Good to know

• One school email can be used for student verification only once.
• If the email verification does not work, you can try again or click Verify with documents.

If your school domain is not registered, or your school does not provide student emails (Verify with documents)

1. Create a CLO account with an email where you can reliably receive renewal and payment notifications.
2. Start your free trial. On the checkout page, choose your plan and check “I’m a student, get 50% off.”
3. Click Continue to verification.
4. On the Student Verification page, click Verify with documents under “No school email?”
5. Fill out the form and upload your proof of enrollment (PDF, JPG, or PNG, up to 5MB). Accepted proof:
   1. Student ID card with a valid date
   2. Official enrollment verification statement issued within 6 months
   3. Tuition statement for the enrolled year or semester
6. If your school does not provide student email addresses, also upload a letter from your school stating this.
7. Click Submit. Checkout pauses while our team reviews your documents.
8. CLO support will email you the result and how to continue your free trial.

I already have a CLO account. Can I still get the discount?
Yes. If you have not subscribed yet, start your free trial and follow the steps above to verify your student status at checkout.

If you are on a regular plan with time left, cancel your subscription first and then subscribe to the Student plan after verifying your student status. Your regular license is deactivated right away and the remaining time carries over to your Student license, so your first student payment is on the day your regular plan was due to end.
