Fabric
- In CLO, Fabric can be created just like how it is created in real life, applying texture to material properties.
- The Add Button
- Click the Add button on the Object Browser’s Fabric Tab.
- A new Fabric Item will be added to the Object Browser. - Drag & Drop
- Drag and Drop the Fabric file from the Desktop to the Object Browser.
- The selected file will be added to the Fabric list as a Fabric Item. - Add From the Library Window
- When there is a Fabric file in the Library Window, double-click the Fabric file to open.
- The dialogue will appear to inform the user that the file has been added to the Object Browser. The selected file will be added to the Object Browser as a Fabric Item.
- Select the Fabric Item to be duplicated from the Object Browser.
- Click the Copy button on the right side of the Fabric Item.
- A new Fabric Item will be added having the same material properties with the selected Fabric Item.
- Select the Transform Pattern tool or the
Edit Pattern tool from the 2D toolbar.
- Navigate to the 2D window and select the Pattern that a new Fabric Item will be applied to.
- Locate and click the Assign button on the right top of the Object Browser.
- A new Fabric Item will be added to the Object Browser and it will be automatically applied to the selected Pattern.
- Right-click on a Fabric Item which its settings will be reset and select Reset.
- All settings such as texture, color, and material properties will be changed to default values.
- A Fabric Item can be deleted and the Delete icon will appear only when it is not applied to any Pattern. If the fabric Item is applied to any Pattern, it cannot be deleted and the Delete icon will disappear.
- When the Delete icon does not appear next to the Fabric Item to be deleted, resolve the issue by following the steps below:
- Select the Fabric Item to be deleted from the Object Browser. The Patterns applied with the selected Fabric Item will be highlighted in pink.
- Navigate to the 2D window and right click on any Pattern highlighted in pink. Then, click Select All with Same Property ▶ Fabric
- Apply other Fabric Items to the selected Patterns.
- Delete Icon
- Select theDelete icon next to the Fabric Item.
- The selected Fabric Item will be deleted from the Object Browser. - Delete Option from the Right Click Pop-up Menu
- Right-click on the Fabric Item to be deleted and select Delete from the pop-up window.
- The selected Fabric Item will be deleted from the Object Browser. - Delete key on Keyboard
- Click the Fabric Item to be deleted and hit the Delete key on the keyboard.
- The selected Fabric Item will be deleted from the Object Browser.
