Is there an option to relink the patterns after removing symmetry?
To the question from @romainpotier
"Is there an option to relink the patterns after removing symmetry?"

EDIT:
I found a way better way. You can just select the Symmetrical Pattern and right-click. Then simply select 'Half Symmetric Pattern (With Sewing)' under 'Apply Linked Editing'.
Ignore the text below.

I found a way to achieve something like what you're asking about. My way:
I put an Internal line inside the shape at the line, where the left and right sides are symmetrical.
Then I made a cut by right clicking on the just created line and selecting 'cut'.
Then I selected both halves of the symmetrical pattern and right-clicked on it and selected 'Symmetric Pattern' (or 'Symmetric Pattern (with sewing)' if you want both halves to be seen).
Hope this works for you or helped somebody else.
Good luck!
