Edit Zipper Tape/ Slider Property
Zipper Tape/ Slider Right-Click Pop-Up Menu
- Create and express zippers easily and quickly.
- Select the Zipper tool from the 3D toolbar.
- Select the Zipper tool from the 3D toolbar and navigate to the 3D window.
- The Pattern outlines and Internal Lines on the 3D Garment will appear as dashed lines.
- Hover the mouse over the Pattern outlines or Internal Lines where the Zipper will be placed.
- Click once and drag the mouse cursor along the Pattern outline or Internal Line.
- Double click to complete the first half of the Zipper.
- Hover the mouse over the Pattern outlines or Internal Lines where the other half of the Zipper will be placed.
- Repeat the same procedure. A blue dot will appear to guide the length of the first half of the Zipper.
- When the Zipper is established, the Zipper tape and the Zipper slider will appear along the designated Pattern outlines or Internal Lines.
- The Zipper slider will always be located at the starting position where Zipper was placed
- Select the Simulation from the 3D Toolbar.
- The Zipper will fasten.
- With Simulation off, select the Select/Move tool from the 3D toolbar to partially unzip or Zip the Zipper.
- Click on the Zipper slider, and it will be highlighted in yellow.
- Click and drag the Zipper slider along the Zipper tape. A grey slider will follow along the mouse to preview the location.
- Release the mouse to finalize Zipper slider’s location.
- Select the Simulation from the 3D toolbar.
- Only the designated part of the Zipper will fasten or unfasten.
Editing Zipper Tape/ Slider Property
- Use the Select/Move tool from the 3D toolbar to select either the Zipper tape or the Zipper slider.

- Width (MM)
- Type in a specific value to assign width to the Zipper tape. - Thickness (MM)
- Type in a specific value to assign thickness to the Zipper tape.
- Change the Garment Rendering Style toThick Textured Surface to see Zipper tape’s thickness.
- Fasten Zipper
- Toggle on/off the option to completely Zip or unzip the Zipper.
- Toggle Off the Fasten Zipper option to unzip the zipper. - Material - Texture
- Change the texture of the Zipper tape.
- Add Normal Map and check on/off Desaturation to convert the texture into greyscale. - Material - Color
- Change the color of the Zipper tape.
- Adjust Ambient Intensity and Diffuse Intensity as needed. Ambient Intensity expresses the effect of ambient light. Diffuse Intensity controls the intensity of the applied texture image and color.
- Adjust Specular Color as needed. With the Shininess option, modify the sheen of the Zipper tape.
- Add Specular Map to assign how Specular Color is applied to the Zipper slider.
- Adjust Emission Color to set the color that emits from the Zipper tape. - Fold
- Strength: set the strength of the fold of the Sewing Line between the Pattern and the Zipper.
- Angle: set the fold angle between the Zipper and the Pattern to express the fold . - Particle Distance(mm)
- Adjust Particle Distance for Zipper Tapes(ver4.1.0).

- Choose the design of the Zipper slider. - Size
- Select the size of the Zipper slider from the provided presets, or type in a desired percentage to adjust manually. - Fasten Zipper
- Completely Zip or unzip the Zipper.
- Toggle On/Off the Reverse Zipper Direction option to locate the Zipper pull at either end of the Zipper.
- Toggle On/Off the Move to Opposite Side option to attach the Zipper pull to either half of the Zipper tape when the Zipper is unzipped. - Material
- Adjust provided options to add texture or colors to the Zipper slider.
- Adjust the Opacity to express the Zipper slider as translucent or solid.

Zipper Tape/ Slider Right-Click Pop-Up Menu
- Select the Select/Move tool from the 2D toolbar and navigate to 2D window.
- Right click on the Zipper tape/ slider to be edited.
- The pop-up menu with options below will appear.
- Zipper Tape
- Delete
- Delete the Zipper tape and slider.
- Select the Zipper seam line, right-click and select Delete.
- Or, Select the Zipper seam line, and hit the Delete Key on the Keyboard. - Reverse (Right Clicked)
- Similar to the Free Sewing tool, both halves of the Zipper tape need to be established in the same direction. If they are sewn incorrectly, the Zipper tape may twist.
- If Zipper appears to be deformed during Simulation, right-click and select Reverse to reverse the Sewing Line. - Flip Normal (Right Clicked Teeth)
- Flip the fabric side of the Zipper tape in the 3D window.
- Select the Zipper Sewing Line, right-click and select Flip Normal. - Deactivate/Freeze
- Deactivate or Freeze the selected Zipper tape to fix and exclude the selected Zipper from Simulation.
- Right-click on Zipper seam line, select Deactivate or Freeze.
- To Reactivate or Unfreeze the deactivated/frozen Zipper tape, right-click the Zipper seam line again and select Reactivate or Unfreeze.
- Delete

- Delete
-Delete the Zipper Tape and Slider.
- Select the Zipper seam line, right-click and select Delete.
- Or, Select the Zipper seam line, and hit the Delete Key on the Keyboard. - Deactivate/Freeze
- Deactivate or Freeze the selected Zipper Pull to fix and exclude the selected Zipper from Simulation.
- Right-click on Zipper Slider, select Deactivate or Freeze.
- Delete
